Children's Dental Services

When should your child visit the dentist?
Your child's full set of primary teeth will emerge between when they are 21 months old and three years old. Once you see their first tooth, you should bring them in for a dental checkup.
At their first visit, we can check for, and diagnose any emerging issues. If potential problems are found, we can create a plan to monitor and treat them.
From then on, children, like adults, should have a professional dental exam and cleaning every six months.
Every child is different, which means some may need more frequent dental visits, especially if they have oral health issues that need addressing. Your dentist will be able to give you an appointment timeline catered to your child's needs.

Oral Hygiene & Prevention
Tooth decay can become a concern as soon as your child’s teeth start coming in. For our youngest patients, our primary focus is on preventing cavities and maintaining healthy smiles.
Brushing & Flossing
Just like adult teeth, baby teeth need to be brushed twice daily. Start brushing your infant’s teeth as soon as they begin to appear.
Once your child has two teeth that touch, it’s also important to start flossing between them once a day.
