Dental Veneers

The dental veneers offered at Cariboo Mall Family Dental are made of thin pieces of porcelain. They offer a non-invasive way to improve the appearance of discoloured, chipped, or gapped teeth.

Bring Back Your Bright Smile

Veneers are tooth-coloured pieces of ceramic that are permanently bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth to improve how they look.

They are custom-made to match the shape and colour of your natural teeth while complementing your facial structure, so that your smile looks like the best possible version of itself.

Dental veneers offer a simple solution for cracked, chipped, stained, or slightly misaligned teeth, and they are resistant to permanent staining.

If you have stains that have been resistant to teeth whitening, veneers can cover them and help make your teeth appear brighter and more even.

The Dental Veneer Procedure

The dental veneer procedure is a relatively simple method for altering the shape and appearance of your teeth and typically requires little to no anaesthesia.

First, your dentist will remove a thin layer of your tooth's enamel to make room for the veneer in the tooth's space. Then, using our 3D scanner, your dentist will take an impression of your tooth from which your custom veneer is made. A temporary veneer may be placed while you wait for the custom one to be made.

Once your veneer is ready, you will be called back to the dentist's office. Your teeth will be cleaned thoroughly, and the veneer will be cemented to your tooth using a special light.

When the veneer is on, your dentist will polish it, and make any necessary adjustments.

The Results of Veneers

Some patients may decide to have a teeth whitening procedure prior to having veneers placed so that the colour of the veneers is matched to a brighter shade.

Even still, you might notice a slight difference in colour between your porcelain veneers and your natural teeth, but only if you're looking very closely.

Even natural teeth aren't all exactly the same shade – so chances are, no one else will even notice.
